Quinoa Upma with Coconut

  • Serves: 4

Fresh coconut with quinoa is awesome combination. This vegan dish is quite easy to prepare and super healthy which can be consumed by all group of peoples plus this is a great addition to your low carb diet plan.


  • Quinoa- 2cups
  • Coconut- 1 pc
  • Cauliflower-1/2 pc
  • Oil- to sauté
  • Salt- to taste


  • Wash and soak the quinoa
  • Heat 1-2 tsp of oil in a pan, add the quinoa and sauté it for a minute
  • Pour water on the quinoa (just enough to cover it) and bring it to boil
  • Once it’s started boiling, lower the flame and cover the pan with tight lid or with aluminum foil
  • Wash, clean and prepare the cauliflower and blanch with some salt
  • Grate the coconut and keep a side
  • Mix all, check the seasoning and serve it
