Peanut butter Banana Payasam

Why you should make this recipe:

This is my mom’s favorite recipe. After joined kitchen this was the first recipe I made for my mom, when she was fasting. Since both banana and peanut butter are energy boosters they can be a great combination for while you are undertaking any fasting.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 500 ml
  • Sugar – 1/2 gm
  • Corn flour – 1 tsp
  • Peanut butter – 2 tbsp
  • Banana – 2 nos

Method

  • In a pan boil the milk and stir continuously to reduce the milk to 1/3
  • In different pan add the sugar and add equal amount of water, bring to boil to make a syrup
  • Peel and blend the banana in a blender
  • In a bowl add the reduced milk, peanut butter, banana puree and sugar syrup together and mix well with whisk without lumps
  • Refrigerate the mixture for an hour and serve chilled
  • Taste better when served chilled
