This is an incredibly good Greek salad recipe, nice and tangy and even better in the summer when you use fresh vegetables!
Greek salad or horiatiki salad is a popular salad in Greek cuisine generally made with pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, feta cheese, and olives and dressed with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Common additions include green bell pepper or caper berries. Greek salad is often imagined as a farmer’s breakfast or lunch.

Ingredients

  • Cucumber dices – 1 cup
  • Tomatoes dices – 1/2 cup
  • Bell Peppers dices – 1/2 cup
  • Onion dices – 1/2 cup
  • Kalamata olives – 15 no
  • Feta cheese – 8 tsp (100 gm)
  • Oregano dry few
  • Olive oil – 4 tab
  • Lemon Juice – 2 no
  • Salt
  • Cracked black Pepper – 1 tsp
  • Iceberg lettuce – 2 bunch
  • Lollo rosso lettuce – 1 bunch

Method

• Cut vegetables in to 1 inch dices. • Prepare lemon vinaigrette by whisking together seasonings, lemon juice and olive oil. • Toss the salad ingredients with lemon vinaigrette. • Mound the salad on the plate. • Place feta cubes and olives on top of the salad and sprinkle oregano on feta.
