Bhindi Masaladar is a spicy preparation of Okra which goes very well with any Indian bread or Rice and Dal.

It is quite easy to make and this tasty North Indian dish is surely going to tickle your palate.

It is a simple North Indian everyday sabzi where okra is stir-fried along with onion, tomato and spices. It is a very popular vegan, gluten-free Indian dish which is served with lentils, rice and bread.

This sabzi uses your basic everyday spices  which adds so much flavour to this sabzi


  • Bhindi cut in to small – 500 gm
  • Onion pickled ( slice) – 2 No.
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp.
  • Amchoor Powder – 3 tsp.
  • Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Onion chopped – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves chopped – few
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil refined -5  tbsp.


  • Wash and cut the Bhindi in a one inch long than fry and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seed add pickled onion and saute   for some time.
  • Then add onion cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add tomato, salt and chill powder cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add amchoor powder then add Bhindi to it and toss.
  • Check the seasoning finally add coriander leaves serve hot.
